The project was approved by Diego Armando Maradona through a licensing agreement and each purchased product will come with its Certificate of Authenticity.

The first comic-style soccer ball series
Created by Italian comic artists and expert craftsmen from around the world, "Maradona Comic Soccerball 1982" is the first artistic soccer ball dedicated to El Pibe de Oro.
The soccer ball tells the story of the footballer between 1970 and 1982 through 3 vignettes where Maradona:

The soccer ball is made of high quality materials and complies with FIFA standards.
The graphic concept was conceived and designed by Elena Maria Benedetta Accenti and Cristian Neri Gonzaga, an Italian artistic duo known not only for comics, but also for illustrations and artistic design.
After the design phase was over, 60 silkscreen printing frames were created to make “Maradona Comic Soccerball 1982” an authentic limited edition masterpiece.
To enhance it to the maximum, each soccer ball is completed by exclusive accessories, including the official Maradona Soccerball display. This extraordinary made in Italy object has four side flaps decorated with the illustrations of the soccer ball, while in the center a fifth one stands out with the impression of the “Mano de Dios ”.
The display is equipped with a motorized circular base that allows the rotation of the soccer ball, to make the spectator appreciate every angle of it.

An unprecedented space tribute, to honor him and receive his blessing
On November 25, 2023, three years after his death, we organized a top secret event to virtually reach Maradona and show him our project.
The first prototype of the soccer ball – with slightly different colors that the final ones – was sent up to 34 km in altitude using a weather balloon: no object dedicated to the Diez had ever reached so high.
Our soccer ball finally landed in the Mexican jungle, after 2 hours spent in the stratosphere. We like to think that Diego sent it back to us with a long-distance shoot, like when, in ’92 in Argentina, he lifted the ball and scored from midfield.
The “space” soccer ball has thus become our lucky charm and this is why we jealously guard it in our vault.

Today we’re writing with a heart full of pain and nostalgia.
Your passing left an unfillable void, not only in the world of football, but also in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know you in person.
You were an extraordinary man, besides being the strongest footballer in the world.
They called you “la Mano de Dios” for that goal you scored in '86, but everyone knows that you always held out that hand to help those who needed it the most.
You were a blessing to them and that's where that nickname takes on a whole new meaning.
Even today, you are a symbol of hope and redemption for those who follow and fight for their dreams.
That's why we want to dedicate a special praise to you, even if words, no matter how strong and sincere, would not be enough.
You were movement, color, art, and you deserve more to be painted than to be described.
For this reason, we decided to pay tribute to you with a short comic-style illustrated biography printed on a soccer ball.
We thought of making a work to represent you not only as a champion, but also as a man.
A tribute without flags, a symbol of unity and brotherhood for all those who loved, love and will love “the boy (with a heart) of gold.”
